Building Castles in the air

Just recently, I was at a friend's place to help her fix something up and after that was done, we began talking about the usual stuff... our family, friends, and of course, work. Just like anybody else, we began bitching about our work like it's the end of the world. Nothing was spared, from office politics to dim wit bosses. We yacked away our sorrows.

That was when I mentioned that some time back, another friend from Indonesia recommended me to invest in a piece of land in East Java or Sulawesi and start a small resort or something. We immediately picked up the idea and thought that it would be a great idea to buy a couple of acres of cheap farm land by the seaside at a faraway land and finally be able to live the ultimate beach bum lifestyle. We began imagining details such as how the huts are going to look like, what sort of menus we are going to offer and even how are we going to market this place. Talk about getting it all out in pen and paper!

The next day, I checked on the net on what's available and true enough, there were several pieces of land that were on sale and indeed affordable to our standards (which isn't very high, really). Anyway, I'm keeping tab on all the background work as for now. Who knows? Maybe my "castle in the air" will come true someday...
